Murpheys oil soap is best on wood, make sure to use just a cap full otherwise your floors will get sticky

My kids use a wet swiffer. It works extremely well.

In Home depot in the flooring section is a floor cleaner made for wood floors. It is called Bruce. Works great.

I've also heard of vinegar & water but when I tried it, I got streaks so I switched to Murphy's oil with water but squeeze out the mop very well. As CM said, you don't want the wood to warp.

Water with a small amount of dish soap - we were told Murphy's is too harsh.

Water with a little bit of lemon juice. And then dry the floor with a towel as soon as you're done mopping.

A floor refinisher told me that any oily cleaner will not allow future refinishing jobs to penetrate- you'll get an uneven coating of finish bec. of oil residue. He said the best thing for wood floors is watered down white vinegar. It works cheaply and beautifully.

Keep an eye on it - like I said before, the diluted vinegar left streaks.
