My husband is home this afternoon and offered to make hamburgers for dinner. Any quick and easy recipes?

If you're grilling, the quickest, easiest and yummiest is to take the plain meat, maybe add some ketchup or BBQ sauce and mix as little as possible, form burgers and grill. Serve with buns, onions and other fixins.

I dont have exact measurements off hand cuz I am still at work, but here goes:

1 lb minced meat
1 egg
some matzah meal
pinch of garlic
TBs of ketchup.

form into balls

fry or bake for 1/2 hour till 45 minutes- I use a meat thermometer so I dont always remember the time
Enjoy!!

The spice and spirit has a delicious one. Quite a few ingredients, but basics (ketchup, mustard, salt, matzah meal, etc.) and I make it in less than 5 mins.

okay, so now my husband made 10 hamburger patties, didn't bake them yet... and we just found out that the company we're having for dinner isn't coming. can I freeze baked patties (the meat was already frozen and now thawed, so I don't think I can freeze the raw patties)? my only other idea is to mush a few of them back together and start a batch of meatballs, which I know freeze well.

No, you can freeze them raw! It's better than freezing them cooked, because when you do actually cook them, you won't have any freezer taste.

Hamburgers freeze well.

The only prob with refreezing would be if the meat got warm in the meantime, but I assume it's still cold. (My source is the Nechoma Greisman anthology, you can read it online, can't post the link now.)
