How does anyone get a house clean with a two-year-old crying for attention? I usually wind up sitting him in front of a DVD, but he's getting too addicted, asking for it all day long. Also, he gets upset every time it gets stuck. Any better ideas?

What kind of cleaning are you talking about?
Does he nap?

tell me about it!!
I was mopping the floors & I turned around for a second. Dum dum dum.... ds turned over the whole pail of water on my area rug!!!!!
so then we had to hang it up outside to dry- it was not the best situation.
maybe sit him down with paper & crayons?

I used to do aerobics with a toddler or 2 around..I thought they would "enjoy the show"....they ended up crying the whole time !!! long story short, I get up early for that, or left the house for a class.
you might want to let them seee a video or left them do clay dough...or, if they can't be trusted safely to play by themselves, you may not be able to do these things with them up.

I remember once putting my kids on the couch and singing and dancing for them while I swept & mopped the floors. I didn't realize what entertainment it was till I slipped and they all started laughing. That was so long ago...
