I am posting anonymously as I have been asking this question a lot and don't want to be identified.
I am a special ed teacher and I would like to become more familiar in how to break down skills in order to be able to identify the parts of the skill that a student may be missing. I am refering to children under the age of 5, so I am not that interested in reading/pre-reading skills. I am looking for really any way of learning this-book, course, etc. I assume this must be used in ABA programs, but I am not sure.
Anyone with any information on this?
Thanks!

Unless you have done so already, you need to get hold of a curriculum - whether it be ABA, Floortime, Son-Rise, RDI, or your state's curriculum. That should break this down into standards and give you some sort of direction. Hope this helps.
