As I was paying my cleaning lady today, she told me that the house was too messy today and I should clean more before she arrives. The only room that was any different is a room that I have week-long guests staying in. I told her just to make the beds in that room. I said that she could vacuum in there if she was able to work around the luggage. In fact, her job was easier b/c normally linens in that room would be changed as it belongs to my daughters. All other rooms were the same. In fact, it took 1/2 hour less than normal! She has seemed very annoyed the past couple of weeks...leaving early, arriving late, not doing what I ask, and walking around in a huff. I pick up everything off the floor before she arrives, as well as countertops and tables. She just has to clean and make the beds. There are families that use her that have her do much more. Do you think it's time to find someone new? Having a cleaning lady 2 times a week is supposed to provide this mommy of 6 with some relief, not more aggravation!

amother b/c a few friends are on here and I don't want to give away my screen name since they know what happened!

Who's working for whom here? Next time she comes and if she's huffing and puffing tell her that it seems she's not happy here, and you'll be happy to find someone else!

hmmm...we had a cleaning lady like that for about 4 weeks She would come with her husband who would do the vacuuming. She expected the house to be neat before she started! We have 7 kinderlach k'h so neat wasn't happening. We live in a home not a museum! The cleaning lady was given to me over the summer school holidays as a gift after the birth of my 7th. But to be truthful she caused more stress in our house. Luckily she quit on the same day my husband was going to fire her! Yippee. We replaced her with an Israeli girl and things improoved and there was peace in the home again!
If cleaning help is making you feel uncomfortable ditch her. After all as a previous poster said....who's the boss? If you get paid to clean then clean. If you want to be in management don't be a cleaner! Good luck! Very Happy
