I wear them to some places and I'm thinking of switching to ankle covering socks because tights are sweaty and gross but knee socks looks stupid and long skirts aren't practical for everything. But my daughters wear knee socks so it seems hypocritical. And most people here wear tights. So far, I wear tights but I'm thinking of x. |
Always long skirts and either ankle socks or knee high stockings.
What is not practical about long skirts? They're the best!
Also in the winter I don't wear tights - on mild days, knee high stockings, and on cold days, cotton leggings.
ETA most of my community wears some sort of lower-leg covering, but I don't know what, as I can't see what is under their skirt

Same and my baby has a few kids already.
(When I'm staying home on a really hot day I wear a maxi skirt & no socks!) And my socks are cotton. Unless I'm going somewhere dressy. Then I'll suffer w knee high stockings.
Always wear boxer long leg shorts. And leggings in winter, so much more comfy than tights. But tucked into knee highs, not showing.
I need to be comfortable, but somewhat socially acceptable.
