Curious, did your waters break before labor started with your other kids as well?
Mine only break when I am almost pushing usually.

Your doctor is not correct. Many many twins are born very early. Others come closer to 36/37 weeks.
Signed, a NICU nurse who takes cars of many many sets of twins.

Interesting. Is it possible that because you work with all twins who are born early you just don't know about the sets thst don't end up in the nicu?

Yes, if course. I only see the ones born early or the ones who need extra help.
But for her doctor to say that half are born better. 36-38 weeks and half are induced at 38 weeks is just not statistically realistic or true.

]"]37 week induced. Because they told me that twins cannot go past 37 weeks. Induction because no signs of labor.[/quote]
Cannot?! Do they turn into pumkins?!
I delivered my twins naturally at home, 40+3.
One breech, the other OP.
Lovely, calm birth. I was offered induction but was told its entirely up to me.
I chose to trust my body.

I wander if the many twins who are born early are the more high risk identical twins? Rather than the lower risk fraternal twins

I am so curious about the home births! Oak/Topaz, would you mind starting a spinoff? I'd love to hear your stories, (if you are comfortable to share)
My mono-di (I think this is identical..) twins were born just past 40 weeks.

I had my fraternal twins at 34 weeks
One sacks water broke but the other sack was underneath so I didn't see anything
I just felt a random pop and nothing next day I was feeling horrible
Lots of pressure
Went to Dr
Send to hospital
And was ready to push while husband was parking
As a reference my other 5 births took hours before I was ready to push
Bshaa tova!!
My twins are two of my biggest Brachos
They're so precious and I love love love watching them interact with each other
Enjoy!!!

My friend delivered at 38 weeks. Water broke, baby A was breech, so it was an automatic Csection.
They were both over 6 pounds.

Not fraternal twins but my mono di twins were delivered at 36 weeks. The doctor considered letting them go another week but I was done…. No sign of labor and technically I was fine. They were 4.8 and 5.4 no NICU bh!

This thread is teaching me that I really can't plan at all...the answers vary so much. I guess time will tell

1 was in for 2 months ( boy)
1 was in for 4 months but then had 3 more hospital stays.
Not sure why they were born so early but I went into labor at 24.
BH today they are amazing and nobody can tell!
