Is heating with central same as splits? Like is boiler with radiators better even than central?

How does this compare to heating with central?

We have central for heat and ac. It’s good for both. In the summer no noise and the house is cool. In winter it heats well. If we’re out all day or for a few days we leave on just enough that the pipes don’t freeze. When we get back and turn it up it warms the house fast. The only problem in winter you need to use humidifiers in bedrooms because it makes the air dry. My friend installed under floor heating in a new house. She says that’s the best but expensive and can be impossible to install in old houses.

We have two splits in our lr/dr, one each. On days like today when its 15 degrees it's cold but if I put both on blasting it would be warm. I know it is super expensive so just staying upstairs working under my blanket until kids get home. Using this approach is definitely cheaper than heating the whole house with gas. We are lucky, only one of our bedrooms needs heat mostly so not so expensive.

Even with blasting heat our most expensive month ever electric was 700. Gas + electric would have been more. But I think every house is different.

Interesting, but I'm seeing now it doesn't really work and kind of backfired...
Im sorry guys Speechless
I dont understand how heat can come from the ceiling ( or high place) when heat rises...
In my apt it's like that, and it's freezing we have space heaters.
What's wrong with regular baseboard or radiators installed closer to the floor. M
