To clarify, my child is going to be in nursery even though I called her a "toddler" in my above post. She practically is a toddler! She is on the younger end and won't even be 3 when school starts in september.
I'm going to do the 2:30 dismissal

From what I’ve seen anecdotally over the years is that majority keep for the full day, and a handful opt for the early dismissal, for the nursery age. The school is flexible and accommodating, and you can always change your mind during the year, if you’d like to try the other option.

in nursery there are activities and learning after 2:30...
I wouldn't want my child to miss out from the social aspect and the learning aspect

Look you know your child best

I know for my child 4:00 dismissal is too late. She is more of an introverted, anxious personality. She needs a lot of down time at home.

If she misses out on learning then so be it. She has her entire life to learn.
