My entire family had shigella this past winter. 2 of my kids got Zithromax and it bh helped clear it up much quicker then my kids who didn't get any antibiotics.

Bh I'm happy to report kid is doing much better. That cry to hashem I must say really helped. 4 hours later miraculously the fever finally broke and with each passing hour kid was feeling better and better. Kid is still not perfect, appetite not back yet either but so much better than when I started this thread.
