WIKIPEDIA
Arrest
After receiving hundreds of tips from the public, the authorities received information about a white Hyundai Elantra vehicle, possibly 2011-2013, which was seen in the area of the murders around the time when they happened. The authorities managed to trace ownership of this vehicle to a local individual by the name of Bryan Christopher Kohberger and subsequently started conducting surveillance of this suspect. Kohberger drove away from Idaho across country to his parents home in Pennsylvania while the authorities compiled evidence to warrant an arrest.[41]
Additionally, investigators pulled DNA from the crime scene that did not belong to any of the victims. Utilizing a public genealogy database, authorities identified a partial match to an individual with a familial connection to Kohberger.[42]
A 28-year-old man, Bryan Christopher Kohberger of Albrightsville, Pennsylvania (born November 21, 1994) was arrested on December 30 in his home in Chestnuthill Township. He was arrested on four counts of first-degree murder and burglary and was detained without bond at the Monroe County Correctional Facility in Stroudsburg. He was scheduled to return to court in early January 2023 and be appointed a public defender.[43] From 2009 until 2013, Kohberger attended Pleasant Valley High School. Shortly after graduating from high school, Kohberger attended Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, where he earned an associate's degree in psychology in 2018. After graduating from Northampton that same year, Kohberger attended DeSales University that same year. He graduated with an M.A. in Criminal Justice five months before the stabbings and later headed to Washington, where he began studying for his PhD in the same field at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington, nearly 10 miles (16 km) west of Moscow. Kohberger had finished his first semester in Pullman nine days before his arrest.[44][45]

How bizarre. I wonder what his connection was with these students? Or maybe he just chose them randomly as part of his PhD research...

One of survivors saw him leaving their house at 4am, she heard some cries, dog barking, male voice. Didn't call the police or go upstairs, but locked her door.
The suspect returned to the house around 9am for about 10 mins.

I just finished reading an article on matzav about it. It’s fascinating how they figured out it’s him.
I wonder why the roommate didn’t call the police.
The fact that he returned at nine shows the criminal always returns to the crime.

That article just raises more questions!
He's charged with burglery. I wonder what he stole from the house. Something significant, or just a "souvenier"?
It says security cameras heard crying around 4 am. It seems like a dying stab victim would be screaming or whimpering, not exactly crying. Was it the murderer who was crying?
One of the survivors saw him walking toward her, but he walked past. Did he see her? Was he unaware the two survivors where there?
How did the surviving roommate hear so much, but not hear screaming? Was the murderer such an effective killer that he killed them before they could scream?
Why did he do it?

The boyfriend/girlfriend pair were apparently not sleeping, because she got a door dash delivery at 4am. How could 1 person overpower 2? And with no screaming? So many unanswered questions.

The victim could have cried if saw him killing her friend, or the dog, or saw him just as he was about to stab her. Could be half whimpering, half crying. The murderer told her he'll help her
The survivor opened her door and could have been sorta peeking outside, not exactly standing in the hallway.
ETA just reread the article. The couple girlfriend got dash order and was watching tik tok, nothing is said about her boyfriend, so he could have been sleeping. The camera appears to have noises of possible whimpering.

The police is under a gag order, but they did say he was near this house 12 times in a few months before the murder.
