Dr gave it to me. How often did you use it? With steroids or plain?

Anything added to the crib besides a mattress with a proper fitted sheet is not safe. Unless your baby is on a medical grade monitor, they should not be sleeping at an incline. Best that you or your DH to hold the baby upright in a steamed bathroom.

Everything else CAN wait.

My pediatrician said I should elevate the matters a tiny drop. I put 2 pampers underneath that’s it. And if she said so I believe It’s not an issue

You can ask Dr for a nasal swab to rule out infection.
I would look into allergies, reflux, tongue ties since this is going on for a while already.

I don't know if it's ok for babies but you can ask dr about using Vicks vaporub. I heard once to put a bit on babies feet but wouldn't try it without an ok from the Dr

Had the same. I Wasn't using the saline correctly till a mother in this site helped me. You put the baby on its side and spray fast and a lot, till it comes out of the other nostril. Then you suction and repeat on other side. Also used humidifier and nebulizer. Keep baby upright since post nasal drip can give them a terrifying cough.

Ok. Did the saline like this now, it came out from the other side in less than a second. Also, mamish nothing came out when I suctioned. Does this mean his nose is empty from mucus? I believe the mucus is rather in the throat causing the loud noisy breathing. Idk I’m confused

How many times a day are you suctioning? I was suctioning way too many times my doctor told me that can cause inflammation and the whole cycle starts over. She said only 1 x a day. I think I did up to twice afterwards but still less than the 10+ times I was previously!

Dr should've prescribed these to put into nebulizer. You do it 4 times a day or as dr says. Had the same thing this should help baby dry out congestion.

2 pampers is nothing. Put a folded thick towel under baby's mattress by head. It should elevate better.

You can do it about every 4 hours.
My baby ended up having rsv virus with the same symptoms plus fever. Does your baby have any fever?

At this age you really need to monitor closely to make sure O2 is staying at a safe level. Did pediatrician check when you were in the office?

I agree with saline in a nebulizer every two hours. But I'm glad you're having baby checked out today to make sure lungs are clear and O2 is normal. It's possible you'll need steroids in the neb but that should be determined by the doctor.

I appreciated your comment, What is O2? Oxygen?

Tyh the top doctor from the urgent care was in today, and was very nice and knowledgeable. She listened to his breathing and watched his stomach. Said it’s probably rsv. He’s working too hard to breathe. Did Swab And chest x rays. Test was negative bh but she says the X-ray shows something maybe covid. That was Bh also negative. So she gave me small dose of steroids for the nebulizer to mix with the saline. And she also said I should start antibiotics that I got Friday from the pediatrician. I’m still hesitant about the antibiotics for such a little baby but I need to get his lungs clear!
