It's possible to find great deals at Barnes and Noble clearance section. Sign up for alerts from hip2save. They're constantly posting whenever B&N has their Red Dot sale. |
I stopped signing up for alerts from anywhere because the VAST majority are irrelevant to me and it's a waste of time to follow them.
What's special about the anniversary edition and where are you located? I'm looking for as close to the original as one can get.

I'm looking to stock up on baby gifts. For newborns and also a good toy gift for ages 12-18 months. Any ideas for $10-15?
I may buy one or two pieces up to $25 too for something really good.
Thank you!

I'm looking to get a double stroller that won't break the bank and is great for air travel and an extra extra large excellent grill pan in case anyone sees anything or has a recommendation!

One difficulty I have is that there seem to be a lot of models that I can't sort out the differences and figure out what is important and what is really a value. And also hard to set price watches when each one has a different twist on it, because you could have a price watch on model number AB1234 and then they put the sale on model AB1235.
I haven't seen the really low instapot sales often. I follow deal websites that tend to jump on that, and I've seen it hit bottom price maybe once a year. $50 would be good with me. I also need to figure out what size to get to meet the sweet spot between counter footprint and portion size. I have a small family but I like to freeze leftovers, on the other hand I don't have unlimited kitchen space and if I get an instapot then the breadmaker ought to leave. The blender will need a home too, which is why I had a mini one before, but we're outgrowing that. |
WalmArt just posted the 8 qt for $59.

Maybe I should start a spinoff, but has anyone ever gone to a BF sale in person? I've never even thought about it because it's supposed to be so crazy. But I happen to be very free this year, and toying with the idea. Macy's in particular has some in-store-only deals I was interested in. Not interested enough to break my neck, of course, but maybe it's not so bad now that everyone shops online anyway? Or maybe if you go to the right branch? If you wait until after the wave of early waiters, is everything gone or only the big-ticket items? (I'm mostly after smaller things - like I said, not worth a stampede, but maybe worth an adventure)
Next question: While we're hitting the sales anyway, I'm looking for a good deal on a nice bas mitzvah gift (I.e. won't look as cheap as it costs.) I thought I had a plan when I found a website that makes name necklaces that look nicer than they cost, but the mom said the girls already have name necklaces. I don't suppose they need another.

Walmart's $10 games sale includes a few SEIT/therapist winners. I'm tempted to buy Pop the Pig even though I don't technically have the space or budget for more toys, because it's so useful and I don't think I've ever seen it down to $10 before. And my inner child is begging me for the Bop-it, even though it's not the one I always wanted because they don't make that anymore There's also a $5 games page that includes some classics which we have already but are worth a look if you don't, or if you ever need gifts for kids. Connect Four is always a winner.

Oooh and my inner child also spies Blokus for $10! Gift it to your grandkids, people, it's on my wishlist but I can't justify buying any more games right now when our play closet is bursting and the kids are sure to get lesser junk from other people for Chanukah and concurrent birthday. Pop the Pig is a work purchase so that doesn't count. Separate space and separate budget.

(Amazon matches the $10 on Blokus, BTW. Not on most of the other games.)

Though I'm not seeing the $18 scooters someone mentioned. Dead deal? Here I was hoping that combined with the games I'd reach Walmart free shipping
