Dear Members,
I vanished some time from the scene but I was busy... busy thinking of a way to earn some money. So my idea was to produce znius clothing because when I walk in my frum neighborhood, all I see is too small, to short, too tight to be zniusdik and it cannot be that I am the only customer who would like to have fitting sweaters/pullovers. So I "organized" a knitting machine (in Israel you don't just buy one, you have to run around to find one), started to make samples and IY"H I will finally buy the machine soon and than start to produce according to orders or to my idea of znius.
Here I would like to post some examples - they are baby-size, but I inted to do it for the adult customer - and I would like to hear your opinion, if you would buy/order such a thing and how much you would be willing to pay for it.
I thank you for all answeres in advance.
Rivka

I like the easy pattern more than the hard one, although it is nice as well. Hatzlocha!

Absolutely gorgeous.
Do you plan to make in quantities and sell from stock, or make to order?
I could especially see a market for hard-to-fit people: those who can't buy regular sizes b/c they are taller, shorter, fatter, have longer or shorter arms or torsos or busts than the standard sizes.

The first thogth was znius, like I said above but special sizes are also "welcome" and of course that will not be the standard that is sold in the shops. I intend to do it either according to orders and/or I will make quantities in summer and sell before the Hagim from stock.
Work would be mostly for the Israeli customers.
Thank you for the compliments and all the best
Rivka

my grandmother makes them. she actually made me for my two year old daughter a one piece jumpsuit which she knitted by hand. and she also made me a sweater pants set. the stitches though have to be more close together tighter when you are making outfits like dresses shirts an skirts and pants etc. as for adults I have seen it also as in suits but with out the lining inside.

Supermom - handknitting is something totally different, practically un-payabel. One childrens-sweater will take b"h 1/2 to 1 hour work, do that by hand and you sit day's there knitting.
Goldrose - yes, it's photobucket.
Itta - I will probably do everything that comes, what a pitty that you sit in NY, I could use some orders
All the best

why can't you do pants? if you can do sleeves so what is the problem with pants? and skirts should be fun and easy too.
