How do you keep nails from flying while clipping them

I'm not using a scissors, don't like them. I only use a clipper, but sometimes they go flying. Sometimes I can find it, but not always. I saw this thread about a clipper that catches them, but is there a trick so they won't go flying?

Soak your nails first. I cut mine after the shower. They're much softer that way and won't fly.

there's a catcher on the end of some clippers ... try it ... it helps ...

use clipper right over the sink, let them drop into sink and then flush them down with a lot of water. this gives you more space for your nails, and of course do it after shower.

cut each nail in two clips instead of one, with the clipper on an angle, and hold another finger against the other edge - basically you blocking the nail from flying out the side of the clipper.
