I thought schnitzel was breaded and fried ...

however if you mean boneless chicken breasts ... put them single layer in a pan ... some soy sauce, garlic powder, black pepper ... broil for like 15 -20 min on each side ...

umm. not very long, it cooks quickly. I usually check on it after 7 minutes or so. I flip it after about 4 minutes and keep a close eye on it that it shouldnt dry out too much.

Are you sure 20 minutes each side? I bake cutlets at 350 for 25 minutes total, and I'd think that broiling is faster.

it depends on how far the fire is from the food ... I personally like my food dead cooked ... and I said 15 - 20 ... so 15 x 2 sides is 30 min ... only 5 min more than you ...

I broil the cutlet though I don't bread it. I spray olive oil spray on one side and lightly sprinkle onion, garlic pwder, and pepper. Broil 15 min. Flip. spray other side with olive oil and put spices on. Broil for another fifteen minutes. comes out delicious. I have a waist high broiler and the rack is one notch below the highest.

Here's another one for you. Only thing is I'm not one of those "exact measurements" kinda cooks, so.... Rolling Eyes

For about 3/4 lb. thin chicken breast pack:

Line pieces side by side in baking pan (I use 9x13 pan usually). Mix about 1 cup bbq sauce, 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce, and 1/8 cup or less soy sauce in bowl. (Could be bit more of bbq sauce.) Pour mixture over the chicken, making sure each piece is covered completely but not swimming in it. Raise each piece with a fork to make sure the sauce covers both sides. Then place in oven on broil, uncovered for 13-14 minutes. Absolutely delicious, one of the quickest things to make. Just keep in mind, it's on the stronger side of taste, so if you have trouble with that...

Ooh, let me know how it comes out! Yes

Btw, I use Gold's duck sauce, and La Choy teriyaki and soy sauces. Good luck!

Whoops! I meant to discuss the bbq sauce, silly me.

I use Hunt's original bbq sauce.

Sorry about that! embarrassed
