Everytime I have a facial done, a month or two later I get red marks on my face...look like burst bloodvessels that in my experience never go away. I will have to know wear make up and concealer all the time to cover them and it annoys me soooo much!!! Any suggestions on good make up or other tips to get rid of them, the look so gross!

Are you having them done at a decent place? I once got this facial done and was red for a long time. The woman claimed I have "sensitive" skin. Yeah right! Now I use Mario Badescu and I'm very happy there. I did meet Liv Tyler there once LOL. She had a huge zit! Hope it makes you "non-celebs" feel better about yourselves!

If they are burst capillaries a dermatologist can just zap them off.

All I get is a basic facial for about 65 dollars. I haven't done it in ages and have a hard time liking what I see in the mirror!

I'm a big fan of Mario Badescu and their prices are very competitive...$65 for a basic facial at a reputable place like MB is very good!
Whenever I used to get my eyebrows waxed my skin would be red for hours, so I always assumed that I had sensitive skin, but I've never had a problem with the facials at Mario.

OP - are you sure the red marks on your face are connected to the facials? Facialists warn that your skin may break-out or be sensitive for a few days afterwards..1-2 months later seems like a long time for you to be suddenly experiencing a bad reaction!

Here's another recommendation for Edita on 14th and X - she's excellent and very reasonably priced

yes, I'm also very happy with their services - I tried at least another 4 & ended up returning to her. She does an amazing job!
