My parents got a phone call from my brother tonight, eager to tell them about Chanukah in England, where he is in Yeshiva and the mivtzoim he's been doing with his friends.

He tells me that they approached a young guy and offered him a menorah to light for Chanukah. The young man politely declined saying that although he was Jewish, he was now a member of Jews for J.

My brother said "That's OK, Yoshki lit a menorah on Chanukah"

The young man replied "Yes, but I can't be expected to do everything he did"

One of My brother's friends replied "We're only asking you to light a menorah .... not walk on water!"
