Thank you so much ladies! DH will be glad to know I am very excited about it now. For some reason I always thought that upsherin in Meron was specifically a Lag B'Omer thing only. Hopefully all the family in Yerushalayim will come along.
I should have been clear maybe, we are doing this in Elul, ON HIS B-DAY, IY"H.

we flew in for my ds 3rd bday ( 8 years ago) and had his upsherin on lag baomer in meron. It was incredible and diffenetly worth the trip. my other ds is turning 3 during sefira this year and I realy want to go but first of all so expensive to fly with a family of 7 and how can I take all the kids out of school for so long. If we go to eretz Yisroel I am not staying a few days!!!!! so we are still trying to figure it out
