No actual recipe, I just wing it. First I cook the sweet potatoes. I either boil them and then peel them (they don't have to be completely cooked, since they also bake) or I clean them, wrap them in foil and bake. Anyway, once they're peeled and cooled, I cut them into wedges. I also slice navel oranges. Then I put them in a bowl with orange juice concentrate or just orange juice (concentrate if I want the glaze nice and syrupy) with some brown sugar dissolved in it, and mix them around with my hands. Then I roast them in a single layer in a pan, dotted with a little butter. If I want them kind of caramelized on the outside, I put them quickly under the broiler, but watch them very carefully.

I know these aren't real directions, but I do this differently every time I do it. Sometimes I really coat them, sometimes I just brush some stuff on. Depends on how sweet and orangy I want them. If I use orange juice and not concentrate, sometimes I boil it down a bit in a little saucepan, with some brown sugar.

Except I didn't earn a turkey this year. We live too far from shoprite now to go there on a regular basis. Sorry if I wasn't clear. embarrassed

Ohhh! Yup, we (my parents) haven't earned a turkey in about six or seven years. They do have specials but I find kollel to be much cheaper and Goldberg's to be more convenient if need be.

fish (done)
chrain (bought)
chicken breaded in yesterday's falafel crumble (done)

ice cream (bought)

iced green tea (done)

That's all for now.

I have soup & kneidlach planned, challah kugel, and cherry crumble, but who knows if it will get done.
If I go shopping it will be coleslaw (ready-made bags), vegetable salad, and chatzilim too. And banana choc-chip cake.

Hey, I'm fairly new here or at least don't post much. The tomango salad sounds interesting, please can someone put up the link for the recipe. I'd love to try it this week.

Thanks
