My mother's cousin had 18 children, but lost three of them. I know there's a family in Brooklyn with 21 children (last I heard). There is family here with 17, but that doesn't count for statistics because it's not the USA.

Wow in that picture the mother from the back looks glorious who knows from the front 8) and the father looks like one of the sons . If they homeschool girls then it can be done.

As far as I know, the Schneersons in Kfar Chabad have 25 children, not 22.

definitely not
it's either she had 22 and lost one or had 21 and lost one and someone just told me it's the latter

I know a woman with 18. One child has downs syndrome, and this woman is missing part of her right hand. Seeing her, you would never imagine that she is a mother that cooks, bakes, sews, blow dries her daughters hair, and all of this without full use of her right hand.

I think I know her, how many women could fit her description. If im correct then one of her daughters was my son's playgroup teacher.

In most cases they r devout catholics.
Also interesting I may get shocked responses, but I have noticed in Eretz Yisroel there r familys with way more children then here in chutz laaretz. Why is that and don't tell me the women r stronger. Or perhaps, perhaps it's b/c we r lazier Sad

also from that link look

The Learning Channel is doing another show about the family’s construction project, a 7,000-square foot house that should be finished before x-mas. The home, which the family from the northwest Arkansas town of Rogers has been building for two years, will have nine bathrooms, dormitory-style bedrooms for the girls and boys, a commercial kitchen, four washing machines and four dryers.
Jim Bob Duggar, who sells real estate, previously lost his bid for the U.S. Senate. He said he expects to run for the state Senate next year but isn’t ready to make a formal announcement.

motek- they say they want a large family. I dont know them, but they've been in the newspaper a number of times. they dont have money, have a house from habitit for humanity, and are unable to take care of it. (its been condemned a couple of times). they are not looked on as a positive by people who live here. not because of the size of their family, but in how they cant handle/afford them.

I was in Kiryas Yoel for shabbos and we stayed by a family with 16 natural children plus 2 adopted ones. The kids are mostly all married and they have, k'h, growing families. I am sure there are a few hitting the end of the teen range there.

Here in Eretz Yisroel, people seem to nurse much less. That might have something to do with it.
