I have a wool bennetton coat for ds, and it got dirty. It has ketchup stains on it, and other unidentifiable things from playgroup. THere is no tag or ticket inside the coat with any instructions, or with a dry clean label. Do you think I can wash it on gentle cycle?

ds has a wool coat. I spot treated it with water and now its stiff. I don't know what would happen with a washing machine. dry cleaning was 10$ for the coat.

I wouldn't. Dry clean it, identify what stains you can, & hope for the best. Leave it to a professional.

I wash my sons' wool coats in the machine on cold/gentle. They're from TCP so they try to make everything washable there. I think cold water won't harm it really.
