In my business, I occasionally get asked to do presentations at events.
I have a set fee per hour.
Most of the events are nearby so I don't charge for the traveling time- just the amount of time I'm at the event.
But occasionally I'm asked to travel more than an hour away, and so I will charge for travel.
Question: should the travel fee be the same rate or less?

Yes. They're paying for your time, that's how much your time is worth

From what I’ve seen travel fee is the same as the rate when it’s an expert etc. (I specifically recently saw this for a Home Engineer Forensic expert that charges like $300-$500/hour)
