My three year old is skinny with a big potbelly. It’s so significant she literally looks like me, pregnant.

I’m very worried .

Ped keeps telling me it’s nothing .
But I feel like all her little friends have grown out of their bellies and hers just keeps swelling

It seems abnormal to me

She doesn’t have food allergies and we eat pretty healthy

My kid is 5 and still has her potbelly. Ped isn't worried, said some kids' bodies are just like that. I don't like it but whatcha gonna do.

Is it possibly? As a young baby she got constipated and we were advised not to give her grain. She ate very little grain wheat/ cereal/ products until closer to two. It didn’t seem to make her more constipated. But lately she’s been having really bad bloating

Celiac is what comes to mind. Or non celiac gluten sensitivity. Or some other gut issue. Constipation is a clue that her gut isn't working properly, and the bloating is another symptom. I'd want a gi workup, and if they don't find anything I'd go the functional route.

I would check out if it’s a gluten sensitivity

Normal until around age 5 - that's why they make toddler size clothing through 5T.

I would also run a celiac panel and then do a gi work up
