This happened to me. Got banned because I disputed a charge for a return that they claimed they never got even though I had tracking on it. I opened a new account different name different card but somehow their system caught it and the order would never go through. I then somehow figured out if you pay with Apple Pay the orders starting going through. Their system must not be able to catch it if you pay that way.

What's your return history? They don't block after a one time major return.

If I had a business and someone disputed a charge, I would also not want sell to that someone again.

Zara is known for horrible customer service. I really try to order very little from them. Not worth it…

Maybe the people you know do this but statistically the majority of people who shop on amazon don't do it because they don't return a large percentage of their purchases.

I shop quite a bit on amazon and haven't returned anything in several years.

Amazon knows how to run a business and they have no interest in losing money on people who are returning items - whether for free or even otherwise - in an amount that triggers their algorithm and makes them unprofitable and undesirable.

No one is forcing anyone to shop at amazon especially for the kinds of items that might have to be returned.

You haven’t returned anything in years?
I wonder what you consider shopping a bit.

Fyi, many companies utilize a database that track returns, independent of the individual store.

So if you do a lot of returns in store A, store B will know about it and act according to their guidelines even if you didn't actually abuse their return policy.

No one is forcing a business to sell on amazon either. If someone chooses to sell on amazon they’re accepting the risks that come along with it.

I got blocked from Zara once, it was for disputing a charge. It was right in the beginning of Covid, they didn't ship my order for 30 days, and it came time to pay my credit card so I was forced to dispute or pay for something I never got. I called and explained the situation to them after they finally shipped it, they asked me for my credit card statement to show that I was charged (they denied that they charged me because they said they only charge once they ship, but this wasn't the case). Once I showed proof, they unblocked me.

And to reply to the person who asked if you can get away with creating a new account, I was able to do that under new name, new address, and new card, I placed an order and it worked. (till they finally unblocked me and I was able to go back to using my old account).

Add me to the list!! I can’t believe it. Tried making another order and it didn’t go through. Called Zara and they said I violated their terms and conditions. I recently ordered 5 coats that all said they ran big but they didn’t so I reordered them in one size bigger and kept two. Guess they didn’t like paying to ship back all the coats? Am I now blocked forever??

So you ordered ten coats and kept only two. If you had tried on the coats the first time why did you need to return three of the coats in the second order.

This is not a reasonable amount for people to return and is the reason why they won’t sell to you because your return patterns are so outside what is normal or reasonable.

Because I was ordering for four people and my girls liked the coats but even with one size larger two of the styles still didn’t fit and needed an even bigger size. I’m glad you’re so aware of my return patterns based on one interaction I told you about Can't Believe It

From Zara's algorithm, you were outside the normal return pattern.

From their perspective, you should have known what sizing was or whatever the reason was when you ordered four additional coats and only kept two.

Their records indicate that you returned 80% of what your ordered and at this point they no longer want or need you as a customer because 80% returns are not within the parameters of "normal"

I don't have anything to do with Zara so not sure why you are angry at me for pointing out why Zara blocked you.🤷🏼‍♀️

FWIW as of January 31, Amazon no longer has the Try Before You Buy program - probably because a significant number of people had excessive returns like 80%

Did they eventually unblock you? Were you able to purchase from them again using a diff method?
