Most places in Israel are also quite polarised. I'm not sure you'll find the mix you're looking for. |
What do you mean by polarised?
Like what’s the definition of the word?

Would you consider sending her to Lubavitch school in Stamford Hill? They have a coach bringing kids in from GG and Hendon every day. They are extremely accepting of all sorts and I am pretty sure they have girls with dyed hair and peircings. Thing is, most girls have phones but it is possible that not all do. I just know that Lubavitch are always happy to accept more students and don`t look down on anyone for being less frum

Do you know about the school personally, like the girls there how observant they are and what they teach in the school? I’ve heard they’re strict with the uniform there and other things.

I don`t actually send there but I have neighbours who attend. I am just saying what I see, but aside from the school uniform I don`t think there are too many rules about makeup, piercings etc.
Why don`t you check out their website
https://www.lubavitchseniorgir.....Aims/ Try to talk to people living near you who send their girls there to find out more info.
hatzlacha!!

In terms how observant the girls are, I can only comment on how I see them out of school. there are many types there but most wear leggings and socks covered with a skirt, 3/4 sleeves. I don`t know them well enough and am hoping others who send there can chime in, all I can say is they are lovely, open-minded and very accepting people!

I was also going to suggest Orly in RBS. My friend's daughter goes there, the schol is wonderful. Geared towards olim. They seem to have a space for the grils who are in between dati leumi and chareidi, which sounds like where you might fit. Here is their website: https://www.ulpanatorly.com/

I have personal knowledge of the school. It's a great place. I don't think unnatural hair colors would be allowed there. I can't imagine it would be allowed in any school that fits the description of what you are looking for.

Just wanted to know like any good schools there for English speakers, doesn’t have to be particularly an English school, could be few English speakers in a Hebrew school. But In general, is beit shemesh different to other parts of Israel? Does it have the Israeli mentality? Is it a noisy place? Is there girls who are frum because I’ve heard that even BY girls are not that frum and I see a lot on TikTok so it worries and intimidates me? Would you say the place is expensive as a whole like groceries, housing, travelling? Would I be able to find an orthodontist over there who could help mid treatment? Overall hows the places in your opinion? |
Beit.shemesh is fine location is great as central to all bus routes
Teenagers are teenagers we are originally from Edgware so no London to rent is more expensive then living in other places coz it's central besides yerushlyim
Food is the same everywhere orthodontics my kid had her teeth out lovely Bh

loveJudaism wrote: | Hi mothers, I need your help.
I have a 15 year old daughter currently out of school (homeschooled) and we are trying to find a new school for her and are currently struggling. We are based in London and have not had good experiences with schools (reason for homeschool now), not enough that I don’t believe in the school system anymore as a whole but also was very put off due to a lot of girls in the schools today are judgemental, pokey and not observant which is very off putting for a baalei teshuva.
She is already behind in Jewish studies since she did not attend a Jewish school previously but let alone her time was very unpleasant, she didn’t enjoy anything.
The schools in London are either secular, modox (which is closer to being secular) or too charedi. She thinks like a charedi but her appearance doesn’t match, she is 100% obersvant, doesn’t swear, doesn’t have social media, doesn’t watch films, wears 100% tznuit but has dyed hair and few ear piercings, its very hard to fit into a box.
We were thinking of moving to RBS but didn’t know if it was the right place for us, we don’t have any help or guidance/adviser and we don’t know what school she’d like there. Most that we contact are telling us to wait until we get to Israel.
All she really wants is to improve her social life, even a homeschooling group that could involve meet-ups would be nice.
Hope to see some responses. |
You are clearly not modox. But modox I not close to secular. Not very nice.

Majority of modox girls have social media and watch films, even if they don’t they don’t see a problem with it. You can’t be both secular and religious, films and social media involve a lot with the secular mentality. No this isn’t to say they’re bad people but unless I’m wrong then.. sorry

Are you trying to bait people or are you that ignorant?
Thats literally what nodox mean, both modern and orthodox. There are whole communities out there. And of course they are not secular, but orthodox.
