We don’t really have a winter break. Boys get maybe a long weekend, like Friday and Sunday off. And my job certainly isn’t giving me winter break. My big girls are going away though.

We have no plans and lots of complicated variables that make it hard to do just about anything this winter but my kids aren't thrilled and so we really need to get some semblance of structured fun planned out.
We didn't go anywhere last winter break either as we had a chassuna a few weeks later that we were driving to and we made that a mini vacation to stay overnight in a hotel along the way... But my kids still are using it as proof that we never go anywhere 😉

Yes, only because a very close relative recently moved away and we are going to visit. If not for them,we would probably go to great wolf lodge like we did last year- and we really had fun there! Would totally do it again!

My elementary aged boys have a Friday/Sunday off, my mesivta boys don't have off, my elementary girls have five days at the beginning of February. I'll have to set them up with arts and crafts and little treats and activities that week.
Dh works in a school that has next week off, he's using the time to catch up on his learning and preparation for shiurim he gives.
I work in a boys yeshiva elementary that has no winter break, except for one day off on presidents day.
We're in flatbush and I don't know what people are talking about when they start talking about "yeshiva week" and "going away for winter vacation".

Husband and I both work. If either (or both) of us can, we'll come home a little early from work to go on a little trip.

We have a week. Going to camelback for two nights. If we don’t break up the week then they go crazy or make me crazy.

I'm too poor, oh well. Not sure why going away became such a big thing anyway
