Can I take out cash from my government issued debit card (maternity leave)?
Trying to figure out our finances while I’m on leave.
This is in NJ

I’m not sure what a government issued debit card means, but if you’re referring to cash assistance then I don’t think so. You can buy whatever you want with it, but not take out money.

Temporary disability benefits being paid to me by NJ while on maternity leave.

You can. I used the app and transferred everything to my bank account.
I don't remember exactly how. Only that it was annoying and took a while.

It's been several years since I got a debit card but I remember it as a bank of america debit card and withdrawing money like a regular debit card. Unless it's changed.
