Also I see I haven't paid anyone this month. But I have no idea who/how to pay! I didn't get any email and I have no idea what service I have. I think liberty wireless but I have no way to log in to their website. There's no way to sign up just log in. But I never signed up so anything I'm trying is not working.
Help |
I just got a text telling me to pay by the 15th but I have no idea how to do that since I can’t login.

Same, same. I also got a message to pay by the 15th.
Can't either log in or get through to customer service.
I see there is a conversation about it on Reddit as well. Although I cannot read it because I don't have a reddit account.
I think I'll just have to switch to a different, more stable, provider.
I'll give it until tomorrow.

I don’t have a hello plan but finding this thread interesting so I looked up info on the r/HelloMobile subreddit. People have had success with using the last four digits of the phone number they’re trying to transfer as the transfer pin.
Also if you need an account number as part of the process of switching, you can find it in past correspondence from hello mobile.

Here is my update:
I did this and it worked B”H! I was able to keep my number and switched to US Mobile. (I did not want to have anything to do with liberty-wireless after I wasted so much time trying to get through to them and no one ever picks up). I was able to use an e-sim card and it worked beautifully.
Next, I need to get my kids’ phones transferred. They don’t have e-sim cards.

I don't know how us mobile compares to tello but you can get tello SIM cards in Amazon price for a couple dollars, delivered very very quickly

Glad to hear it worked for you. I have the same feelings as you- I don't want to have to deal with this liberty wireless company where there is no one to talk to! I ordered a Tello sim card because I was nervous I wouldn't know how to do the e-sim method. (I'm not tech savvy and get scared from e-things) I really hope when it arrives, it will work and I'll be able to port. But the way they works it says you first get a phone number and then port your old one. I hope this trick works for me, to put my hello account # and last 4 digits of my phone number.

Ohh grrrr.. I wish I knew this before yesterday! I ordered a card directly from Tello but it said it will take about 3-5 business days. Didn't dream to check Amazon.
As of now it was just shipped .. Doesn't seem like I could cancel at this point. oh well

I learned it the hard way when the SIM card I ordered from tello got delayed in the mail and my son was going to yeshiva imminently. Their customer service told me to order from Amazon Prime! No idea why I didn't know beforehand, so simple!
So now I have an extra tello SIM card if I remember where I put it for when my next teenager is ready for a phone ..

Had no idea, since my boys’ phones sit at home while they shteig away
So basically, I can transfer the number to tello even if my account is past due (bc I can’t pay it)?

Just something to keep in mind- Tello told me that my son’s phone from TAG will not work well on their network.

What do you mean phone from TAG? You bought the phone from TAG or you bought your own phone and TAG placed a filter on it?
I have previously used a phone that TAG put a filter on and it worked with Tello.

They check the IMEI of the phone and which towers it can connect to. Anything that worked fine with T-Mobile should work for tello.
But that's not the same as ones which worked well for Verizon or Sprint etc
We have tagged phones that work fine with tello, it has nothing to do with tag
