You're better off going to a jeweler with the earrings that need backs. The holes in the butterflies are not a standard size, and the ones you order may not necessarily fit your posts. The type of butterfly also depends on the size and weight off the earrings: larger and heavier earrings require more substantial butterflies (and usually have thicker posts as well).
