Hi top mum,

I am interested in what you write as being a cake and cookie decorator.
When you say decorator, do you make the cake as well or just decorate it?

Do you do this for yourself or do you sell it?
This sounds enjoyable to me so can you (if you don't mind) tell me a bit more.
In case it is relevant I don't live in the USA so I will not be going into competition.

TIA

I'm not in the US either, but I'll gladly help you Smile

I started in israel about 12 years ago, and moved to Europe recently.
I sell cookies decorated in royal icing, and cakes too.
I bake and decorate the cakes.
I also make desserts, mousse cups and I'm usually happy to try new stuff.
It's mostly enjoyable, but sometimes it's pressuring, because of deadlines Can't Believe It
I'm happy to answer more questions, you can pm me, if you prefer.

Thank you top mum for your reply.

I would love to ask you more questions but like you, I don't go under my screen name so I don't know how to proceed.

Any suggestions?

Shlucha.

My favourite (being sarcastic here) is when people ask what I do, do I have a 'real' job.

Yes, I do. One that doesn't leave me much spare time or vacations to speak of.

But I love it.

What about training?

I took a class from citi college of allied health about 15 years ago. It was once a week for a semester (I think 2-3 hours each night if I remember correctly)
