black: gray
blue: light blue
brown: green, light blue, or orange
or, whatever matches their clothing! I did one each letter a different color. They also have thread that's two different colors at once...

I did on a black one silver in script lettering, it came out beautiful
on a blue light blue
and brown and tannish color
