Can a earing hole that is years old close up if left for long enough? My daughter had ears pierced at 6yrs old and back then I noticed after that it wasn't quite even. Now it's worse and she can't wear studs because then you really see it. She is 12 now
Is there a way to get it to close up faster? because I think at this point it would take ages to close even if it does.

I don’t think it will ever close. We repaired one side for my dd because it wasn’t perfect and I make sure to get her an earring large enough to cover the second hole.

I can imagine if you have it surgically done - it can be done ... the inner area of the hole would have to be reopened/healed & then you can re-pierce it evenly ...

Could the people that do the holes like in the pharmacy do that? Or do I have to take her to some specialist?

is it really that bad ... ask her pediatrician - see if they can scrape it ...
hey I'm just thinking aloud with you ... as to what is possible ... who is willing - including your dd - is another story ...

She keeps complaining about it. I didn't think it was so pronounced until this morning she showed me some studs and how obvious it was and it really was. She just couldn't wear the studs. As far as I'm concerned she can just wear dangly or loop earings but if she keeps complaining I need to know what options to offer her.
Anyway thanks for your help, I'll ask the doc about what you said.

my dd had to let a lip ring close because of braces ... then she paid again to have it re-done ... I would've shoved the ring back in ... she wasn't too willing claimed it completely closed ...
