All articles used to be available for free as long as you had a login. Something changed a few months ago, and I can get the first few paragraphs of every article and then a red message telling me to log in for the rest. When I try to log in my original username and password don't work, and I am prompted to purchase a subscription.

I don't buy any magazine weekly. I do buy magazines occasionally as a treat, for YT, etc. but I will never spend money on the Ami.

I don’t buy any magazines on a regular basis because of price but on the rare occasions I do I buy Mishpacha or Yated.
I will allow the Ami into the house as a handmedown when neighbors bring us the magazines but once my daughter outgrows the kid one I am not sure I would let the adult one inside. There is a lot I don’t want her reading that I have seen.

I also will never buy a magazine that views erasing women as a tznius thing. The irony of some of the ads looking like there are two fathers being "frummer" than having a tznua woman featured....
And for the record, the Atlantic is actually quite pro Israel, with the exception of some writers. But they also feature very pro Israel writers and call out leftwing antisemitism. On the other hand, I'll never give the NYT another dime

My in-laws receive it every week, and my husband picks up the previous week's Ami, so we're always a week behind. On top of that, I have a neighbor who takes from us, leaving them two weeks behind
