And how do explain to other children how what you expect from each child differs?

My oldest daughter is very organized. I can tell her to clean a room, that's it, and she does a great job. I'm sure the results would be much worse if I tried to micromanage.

The next two kids, not sure if it's bc they have ADD or just less organized, but if I only told them "clean the room for 100 dollars" they would be unable to. I have to say "put all of the toys in the toy box", then "put all the shoes in the shoe box" then "put all the clothes in the dirty clothes bin", etc etc

I will tell me ds clean his room and he will bang and bounce the walls chatter practically hit his head on the wall squirm dance and hang a shirt. I have to hold his face and tell him cleannnnnnn focusssss. Only when he’s self motivated does it get done. How do you motivate a kid who’s bouncing off walls and chattering about non relevant things? How do you ground them? He has his calm moments at end of day.

With ADHD I give one instruction at a time. Put your shirt in the cupboard. When they've done that, I'll give the next instruction, pick up the toys off the floor.

My other kids are very understanding even when they grumble. They know that this isn't anyone's fault, it's just this kid has a harder time. It helps that I don't "do" fair. I don't even try to be fair. I give each kid what they need and I make sure that each feels special in some way.
