I have an 8 year old girl, and 3 year old boy that I want to be part of a theme if possible. I want my daughter in something girly though. She was a kalla last year. Tia

And my dh too would be part of the theme if possible.

I missed the part with your DH. You could do a hungry caterpillar theme. He could be a leaf or any of the other foods. Or he could just be a bumblebee or something

Except for in Yerushalayjm, Purim will be for about 6-8 hours this year.

Something to consider before spending too much money or energy.

I'm very into Purim every year, but this year we will recycle old costumes.

Who needs to wear a costume for more than 6-8 hours?

We're not in Israel, but we do have a party the first night as well every year, so they'll have that evening to wear it as well. Plus a dance that my older son's school puts on, for us to go watch.
I actually found really cheap costumes for both of them, so maybe we'll do this, with my dh a catcher. What would I give for shlach monos? I don't have to do the theme, but often it's easier.
