You look great! Maybe I'll try IF. Did u struggle with weight? U look naturally slim.

Thank you! I actually used to be over 20 pounds heavier over 10 years ago. I thought I was eating healthy and exercising but I would binge at night and mess myself up. I have a healthier relationship with food in general now and found workouts I really enjoy so it’s not as much of a struggle. Also I drink a ton of water everyday which I think also was a big change as opposed to diet soda which I used to drink a ton of.

Sleeve surgery in 2013. Down 90 lbs and keeping it off. I still love food, but now I eat small amounts. 1 bite of chocolate is great for the taste, for example.

If you lost a nice amount of weight, I would say 30+lbs., and are keeping it down for at least 3 years already, what weight loss method/program have you done, and do you have any motivating/inspirational messages to share?

That's me! Lost 35 lbs and kept it off (with +/- 5lb variation). The method I used to lose was strictly counting calories. The method I use to maintain (motivation mainly and some eitzah) is reading (and re-reading) the book Body & Soul, which is a Torah hashkafah on my body, health, weight, etc.

Weigh myself daily. Measure myself weekly. Otherwise I'm capable of gaining 5 lbs in three days.
Avoid sugar and white flour products. Not that I never have them, but only now and then.
Walk an hour and a half or 10K steps 5-6 days a week. Usually right after breakfast to know I did it.
Eat lots of watery vegetables like lettuce, cukes, tomatoes, bell peppers, onions as well as radish, jicama, cauliflower or whatever they have at the greengrocer. I make a big naked salad and keep it in the fridge so I can grab a bowlful whenever I feel cravings. It can last nearly a week if I add lettuce and tomato only to the portion I'm eating and just when I'm ready to eat it, but I usually finish it off in a couple of days.

And every so often, for chizuk, I try on the gown I wore to my DD wedding. I would try on my own wedding gown but it was borrowed, and probably wouldn't fit anyway. Though I'm within 5 lbs of what I weighed at my wedding, 40 years and a pregnancy or two change your proportions a bit.)

Also I still write down what I ate each day and plan ahead for the next day to the extent possible. Shabbos and YT I have a hard time keeping track esp if we're not home. So I try to cut back on treats and extras during the week if we're going away or expecting to attend some kind of celebration later in the week.

And every so often I calculate my caloric intake for a day, just to make sure I'm still being sensible . It's easy for your intake to creep up unless you're paying attention. And that's really the secret: never stop paying attention.
