Working on gut health means doing everything to avoid gut dysbiosis and leaky gut which is a huge contributor to the development of autism.

Hate to say this but I'd postpone vaccinating them at least until they're older and work really hard on their gut health.

This 100x have personal experience with this. If it’s in the family do not vaccinate do not take chances. Vaccines bring it out 100%. Don’t believe what anyone tells you and don’t take chances when you are high risk.

I can't tell you about mx husbands vaccinations but my child with hf asd started vaccinating at two and half years. What do you mean by working hard on gut health ?

I hate to tell you but autism can still come at 2.5. You don’t vaccinate at all with a history of autism in the family. Maybe your child is HFA vs full out autism which would have been the case has you vaccinated as a baby.

I would also add- do not take any risks in pregnancy avoid antibiotics and all medications if possible. Try to avoid antibiotics before age 2 as there are many studies linking repeated antibiotics in infants with autism and avoid Tylenol with a baby at all costs as it depletes glutathione and can cause an oxidative stress reaction.

I hear that. Me and dh are both autistic. We currently have a 3 yr old dd who doesn't show any signs of being adhd or asd at all, and another on the way.

I do worry, not about having a hard autistic kid, but how a neurodivergent kid will struggle and how society will treat and bully and hurt them like me and dh have been hurt.

Just reading all this stuff about what to do and not do to try and avoid having a child with ASD is enough to send my anxiety through the roof.
I did my best with my kids, I can't go through this again. I'm done.
