Food seems crazy high to me but I try really hard to cut down. Only buy meat/fish when it’s on sale. All produce and dry goods is from Aldi. Somehow still manage to spend a ton.

1800 a month Misc sounds like a lot

I guess. It covers anything from clothing to diapers to paper towels to medical bills etc. Somehow it adds up….

NJ, 2 kids. Here’s our rough monthly breakdown:
Mortgage: 4500
Auto, gas, insurance: 850
Utilities and wifi: 400
Tuition: 2570
Groceries and household items: 1100
We’re usually left with a little over 1000 at the end of the month and put as much as possible in savings. No cleaning help, do my own wigs, get kids clothes as hand me downs from SIL. If it’s a month where there are car repairs, oil changes, gifts or adult clothing needed, we put away less

Between 600 and 1k in maaser
$500 Target/shopping
$700 babysitter
$500 car
$150 car insurance
$250 gas
$100 phone and WiFi
So $4,400 on necessities. I know the car is expensive - we needed a new car when car prices were through the roof and needed it to be a bigger car for my husband’s job.
