When do you wear long pleated skirts?
Regular and velour.
Shabbos? Weekday? Special occasion?
And what do velour pleated skirts get worn with?
velour tops? any tops?
Please advise, I didn't get the memo. Thanks!

Velour is more home like for me. Like for shbs robe with a simple sweater.
If you mean velvet, like a stiff fabric, that can be for simple shabbos like shbs Kiddush or going to say mt by a vort.
A regular accordian pleated long skirt would be for weekday like for work or shopping. I don't think fashion forward people are wearing pleated flaired skirts anymore though. This year a lot of straight skirts were in

Bec I consider myself to have good fashion sense and I’m telling you not to wear it.

Nicer material or design are shabbos, regular solid ones or more weekday designs are any time during the week.

People wear them. Fame which is a trendy store carries a lot of them currently. I see it all over town. Fashion sense means different things to different people.

All the fashionable Jewish stores are selling long pleated weekday skirts.
Saw today tons in Fame and Junees.
(Personally they add 10 lbs to me so I skipped. But I can’t believe the stores are carrying them if it isn’t in style)

Fame has been selling these pleated skirts for four years already. I think they want to clear their stock without putting all of them (lots of colors/patterns) on clearance. Doesn't necessarilly mean they're still in style...

No they make new ones that are different styles, types of pleats every few months. It’s not old stock. You guys are funny but nope it’s still in style.

Are we talking about the apparallel type of skirt? If not can someone post a picture or link?

No. Either skinny pleats, wool, suede, mixture of size pleats… look at fame’s site under skirts.

Fashion sensible gal here ans I don’t wear them either. I would wear a long leather pleated skirt but that’s about it.
Stores have been carrying these skirts for 10+ years…

Agreed with other posters. I wouldn't go for these skirts. Leather is in now short/long/ a-ligned. If you follow the gallery they have try on sessions and show you how to wear the clothing

Some styles that people like are carried no matter what. Maybe it's not the cutting edge of trendy but still nice, and I do see these worn in fashion (non-Jewish).
