How do you fix crunchy boys' socks? I already use fabric softener and my son is changing his socks regularly.

Sorry if this is a stupid question. Are you washing and drying them crumpled up? If I don't shake socks out of make sure they're straightened out ,(meaning not inside out or scrunched up) they don't come out soft. Or if they don't dry fully.

When the bottom of the sock stays hard and crunchy. It's mainly one of my kids whose socks never seem to recover in the wash and I'm constantly buying him new socks.

I don't know, I have 7 kids--so 9 people's socks, not sure if I'm paying that much attention to them as they go into the wash, this kid tends to put his own stuff down the chute and we just sort "lights" and "darks"--and occasionally delicates and towels.

One of my kids has this. He’s 8. He also has itchy feet lol so idk if it’s related. I wash on hot water with the underwear. Seems to help

Check his feet for fungus. DS's socks seem better since treating. (He is also an expert on foot fungus creams, there was a bunch of trial and error)

My husband told me he used to release into a sock so that’s the first thing I thought of . Like when he was younger before we were married.

Try bamboo socks, they prevent sweating. They definitely wash better and not 'crunchy'!
Or buy 100% cotton socks, they're breathable so again causes less sweat.
