What did you do for music/entertainment at your bar mitzvah? Looking for ideas….

We don't have music or entertainment at our Bar Mitzvah's year round....
You can hire accapella if you must have entertainment.

My son's is in the 3 weeks. We'll likely just have the men sing together instead.
Or hire a singer but it might be too expensive.

My son got invited to shabbos lunch for a classmate last year instead of a bo bayom.

We are not inviting his friends for shabbos lunch- there are only a handful of classmates who live walkable distance, and they can’t host all the boys.
We do music at our bar mitzvahs, so not having anything doesn’t really work.
Are there a capella groups (or individuals) that one can hire for such a thing?

Will this be on shabbos or motzei shabbos/weeknight? If we were only doing shabbos it wouldn’t be an issue, but I feel like since his friends won’t be coming for shabbos, it’s not fair to not do something where he can celebrate with his friends.

Instead of a Bo Bayom on the night of his Bar Mitzvah, my son made a major siyum a few weeks later and we had music and dancing and invited all his friends. It was essentially pushing off what would be a Bo Bayom until we could have music, but in conjunction with a siyum so it wasn't just a random night. His leining and Shabbos kiddush were at the right time.

We hired an a chapella group for our sons bar mitzvah during sefirah.
We were very happy how it sounded.
