Try Bb major. Bb - D - F
Let me know if that's what you were looking for!

I don't know Abie and I don't play music, but the word is Yuva (will be brought), not Yuval.

Interesting. My siddur says יובל (yuval).
(Sorry OP for making it seem like the thread has more relevant answers than it does. I hope you figure out your chords).

Yuva means to be brought

So "led to the slaughter" essentially?
Off topic, but this is why I hate when singers make hiphop or jazzy versions of songs. Someone once "reimagined" this song and made it with a fast beat, and it is awful considering the words are a lament.

This. It's a Bb chord that you need, and the 3 notes in the chord are these.

The B flat is good, though I think it can be even better. Any other suggestions?

Try FM. You can email dinastorch@gmail.com, she said she's happy to send you her sheet music to this song.

To the OP:
I emailed Abie Rotenberg about your post. If he or his lovely wife Sarah has not responded by now, my next suggestion would be to use the same chord as for the third syllable of "ure'ei" in the second line. It seems that what is bothering you about using the official chords (unless you are making up your own because you are sufficiently proficient) is the unusual harmony note of the second syllable of "yuval". I'm sorry, but I can't (yet!) read or write sheet music well enough to name the notes of any chord but CMaj and min. I have a good ear, but my technical and mathematical basics of musical knowledge are totally absent. I know exactly which note of the chord is bothering you, hence my suggestion to fall back on the "ure'ei" syllable's chord. I just can't name it. It's the harmony note that makes the chord sound unexpected. You want the expected, which I can understand, but with due respect, I think the chord used in the official recording sounds just fine as it is. Yes, it is unexpected. Yes, it also works.

The original song has the chord for (yu)val as A# (the yu part is still on the Am); I confirmed it by running it through chordify.
(Also! There are also E7 chords in after the Dm’s; makes a nice transition back to the Am.)
Happy playing!
