I don’t send anything to dry cleaners. I hand wash or machine wash evening so for sure you can hand wash it

I wash on the delicate setting and never had an issue. I also use the extra low gentle setting on the dryer. Its never failed me.

It sounds like you may be able to hand wash it with gentle detergent, though there is a small risk.
If it says don't machine wash, don't, as sometimes these things shrink in the machine, even on the hand wash setting.

You should be able to wash it in a delicate or wool cycle. It's not genuine silk or wool.
Adding: use a detergent for delicate garments with no optical brightener or bleach agents.
