This post is being addressed to women who are okay with their kids getting the quick bachelors degrees. If that's not your thing, please don't respond.

My daughter is interested in a medical field for which she will need a Masters. The expectation is that students will have a Bachelors in Biology when applying. The frum programs that I have seen all seem to have a Bachelors in Liberal Arts, or Psychology, or Humanities, or Jewish Studies, or something like that. Yes, they can minor in biology or another science and can take most of the Masters prerequisites as part of the degree.
But I would really prefer her actual degree to be in biology or another similar science. I don't know how the Masters program(s) will react to an Bachelors in Psychology for a heavy-science program. Or a Bachelors in Judaic Studies.

Any suggestions of online quick programs that will accept all the transfer credits and CLEP's, etc, and will give an actual science degree?

Thank you! It could work...except its $28,000! TTI is closer to $10,000. I guess there is a premium for the premed designation.

I am not sure if you are going to categorize this as my not being in favor of quickie undergraduate degrees.

However, the reality is that humanities have coursework which is more easily compressed into short periods of time.

In general Biology is one that requires extensive lab work which can't easily be compressed and can't be done over the internet for the most part. Good science courses require good labs that are well equipped versus humanities courses which require only an instructor.

She can do a Bachelors in Health Sciences that I think Maalot/WITS Baltimore recently started, there’s something along these lines.

Just check the program she wants to get into, sometimes they also say biology at this level and includes these classes and chemistry at this level with these classes and not only degree.

My program wouldn’t have accepted these classes even if the degree were accepted.

Also, there are some undergraduate programs where biology majors don't need to take certain coursework like organic chemistry. Look at all the prerequisites that are required by the masters program your dd is interested in. Then you will know what undergrad program she will need in order to have a chance of getting in.

What does this mean, a quick degree? We are Canadian and can do a bachelor’s in three years but for graduate school you’d need a four year degree.
I wasn’t aware Americans had the possibility of short degrees. Can you explain?

If the school is science heavy or requires pre-requisite courses- often they require the labwork. That takes time. Touro Flatbush you can do it faster than 4 years with summers but not some 6 month course. That isn't a science degree.

In science there is a reason for the rigorous learning. Do you want your kid to see a professional who doesn't have all the required knowledge? Imagine a PA who didn't take inorganic chemistry with lab.

Plus depending on the program she won't be able to complete it successfully without that background.
