My 5 week old usually sleeps pretty well until the middle of the night feeding. Afterwards she falls back asleep (sometimes she burps and sometimes not) but is very noisy- grunting, moving etc and then I can’t sleep! What can I do for this?!

Move baby out of the room. Chances are you’ll both sleep better

Don't. You have to be able to hear your baby.

You can hear cries through ear plugs but it will filter out some quieter noises

Baby is probably grunting and moving because of gas discomfort. Maybe try making sure your baby burps before putting her back down. See if it helps her sleep more soundly

Newborns make a lot of noise when they’re little sleep but no one ever warns you about it! Buy some earplugs - if your baby is next to the bed, you will definitely hear them cry. I certainly did. I am a side sleeper, so I used to put one in (the ear that wasn’t against the pillow).
Newborn sleep is not like sleep when they’re a bigger baby, or an adult. They are often very wriggly and noisy, even sometimes their eyes are open, but they are asleep. Don’t assume she’s not getting enough sleep just because you aren’t!
If you move them into their own room, you increase the risk of SIDS (cot death), so make an informed decision about what is right for you.

Thanks for all the replies!
I’ve never used ear plugs before and can’t imagine sleeping with it but maybe I’ll try.

You can try a sound machine on low volume. It will drown out the quieter sounds but you will still hear the crying.

I use earplugs and a white noise machine (and an eye mask, lol!) and I hear my baby before DH when he doesn't have earplugs! And often when baby's still in the restlessly moving around stage, not crying.
