18 month old is on the tail end of a virus. Fever is gone just a bit of runny nose left. Noticed today how often she is falling . I know she’s beyond exhausted from not sleeping well and is a relatively newish walker but it’s definitely noticeably more clumsy than just a few days ago. Would you be concerned?

Check for strep. My kids have been positive with falling being the only symptom.

Could be an ear infection which is affecting his balance.

Shoes might be too small. Yes, even if they were bought just a few weeks ago. My kids totally trip over their own feet when they're little and their shoes are getting too small on them.

Check eyesight. Kids often can't tell you if they can't see but they will fall more often

If there are no other symptoms, I wouldn't treat it. Over treating ear infections causes more problems than it solves

My son was in the hospital this week for observation because the same situation, but in his case he couldn’t stand up straight for a few hours. BH he’s fine. It was this:
“Post infectious cerebellar ataxia" refers to a condition where a person develops symptoms of ataxia (impaired coordination of movement) following a previous infection, most commonly a viral infection, which is considered the most frequent cause of acute ataxia in children; it's also known as "acute post-infectious cerebellar ataxia" (APCA) and is usually self-limiting, meaning symptoms resolve on their own over time
