Yeshiva week is specific dates, not just when your school happens to have vacation. The vacation dates you mentioned are after yeshiva week.

I am almost positive this is no longer a thing. Many neighborhoods have different days off than others. Baltimore is different than five towns and than Brooklyn , Lakewood , Passaic etc. Additionally even within neighborhoods there are sometimes the Bais Yaakov / yeshiva schedule versus the day school schedule.

lol you are so wrong. it’s called yeshiva week because of when yeshiva is off. in my neighborhood the coed schools are off the week of the 20th and the single gender schools are off the week of the 26th.

This post is in the NY section, where it is still very much a thing. Yeshiva week is more of a day school/mo thing than a BY/yeshiva thing, although within any given community there may be yeshivas and mo schools that all have off that same week.
The mo 5T schools all have off the same time. I don’t know when the more right wing/yeshiva/by schools have off.

Yes, but yeshiva week isn’t the same thing as winter break. Many yeshivas give off AFTER yeshiva week.

My point was in the past years , all schools gave off the same time (in nyc) . Bais Yaakov of queens to Magen David all had the same vacation . Today schools have opted to change the dates . Single gender schools in five towns are different dates than single gender schools in queens than coed schools. Schools are off from January 15 - February 4 in the greater New York area.
