I am looking for resources for my teenage daughter with ADHD/high functioning ASD? The only resources I know of are chassidish and wouldnt work for my daughter.

She is 16 and not in school, I am looking for either an appropriate school that is affordable (the school that I was recommended charges more than my annual salary), a vocational program or a job for her. She has OPWDD funding.

Feel free to PM me.

The resources that are chassidish run, cater to all crowds & have all types of kids in their programs. They're generally English speaking & accommodate all sects.

I was not able to find a program that caters to anyone other than chassidish kids. If you know of any, please let me know.

There's very little recourses for high functioning autistics, even less so for women and girls.

I hope this changes someday. Can you find a small warm school for her?

Did you try the Tiferes program?
I know it operates in a few high schools.
Specifically caters to ASD.

Speaking as someone with audhd, most autistic people prefer identity-first language. It's the parents of autistic children who prefer person-first language.

Have you reached out to HCS, chesed24/7, and hamaspik? All have programs in Monsey for ASD but I believe mainly accommodate post high school. What agency are you getting opwdd from? Can they help with ideas?
Is your daughter seeing a therapist? If yes, can she help with ideas?

I know a girl that could traveled with the monsey trails bus go to school in Brooklyn to Tferes Miriam . Maybe a school in Brooklyn would be good for her. Tferes Miriam is a high school that takes different types of high school girls.
