Bh we were zoche to buy an apartment that is almost ready. It is now time to pick out an air conditioning system. We are going to rent out the dira so I wanted to get opinions on what people prefer. A central system or individual units in each room?
Also does anyone know which is cheaper?
Any recommendations of who to use?
Also looking for someone to install bars on the windows and grass in the garden. Looking to do as cheap as possible!

Individual units work better. Assuming you are allowed to put up the condensers on the exterior of the building.

Often soragim will be cheapest if you get a group rate with others in the building/project. Possibly the same with a/c and garden.

Definitely not a central unit for AC
It may look nicer than individual rooms but you end up paying so much more for all the rooms you are cooling or heating when you just need the one room cooled.

If you are not allowed to put them on the exterior of the building it gets more complext right?

Do you have a hookup for central?
We are very happy with ours. It works well with our lifestyle since we always leave the doors open. Also DH cleans the filters very regularly. Our electric bill is not high.
We also don't like it freezing and most of the summer it's on 22/23°c.
We also have ceiling fans.
We used Polar Air. They told us the pros and cons of different options.

But you are setting up for renters. I wouldn't expect them to clean the filters.

The cheapest grass looks like a carpet and is scratchy. If it's not put in well then weeds will grow through.

The straight bars will be the cheapest.

Yes, you might have no choice but to do central or vrf (which both have only one unit outside/in the designated area). In both cases of central and vrf you have the added cost of putting in a dropped ceiling to cover pipes or ductwork. Vrf is more expensive overall, generally, but operating costs may be cheaper since each room has its own controls (which really doesn't affect you as owner).

I second this. Would never install a central unit, only individual AC.
